Where do you find a snapon dealer, dont see anything in the phone book. I just need a special tool and cant find a dealer. Thank you for your response.

Why is this company so secret about their locations. Jesus man if only they had a store to go look at the tools I would have been buying them a long time ago.

Their whole concept is to have mobile reps that sell the tools to professionals. The reps would be far less buisy if they opened stores in competition with them. The Reps work hard for a living, and are independant small business, not a box store. JimN

Never did like Snap-on first they cost way to much and second they are very smooth and hard to hold with greasy or oily hands. Being a heavy equipment mechanic and working in hydraulics its hard to have dry hands. They are nice tools but I like black line Proto for oily dirty work. Besides most thieves won't touch them because they don't shine. I found out year ago that thieves prefer shiny stuff to old rusty dirty looking things.

I agree 100%! I have broken more Snap-OFF tools then any other brand. The only thing good about them is the warranty.

I knew a guy that was a Snap-on salesman. In order to keep their salesmen motivated, they would cut back the salesmans territory if he was selling a lot. It was supposed to make the salesmen work harder because they had less customers. Instead it ticked off a lot of salesmen who worked hard to get the extra sales in the first place. Kind of like being punished for doing a good job. Dave

well i like my shiney or black snap on tools.just go to nearest new car dealership and ask when the tool guys show up .there other tool trucks out there try them. what special tool do you need and for what.

A Snap On truck is a pain to Service Managers. When I was a Service Manager, I'd have everyone working, vehicles promised, some customers waiting, etc. Then the Snap On truck would drive up and the whole service department would shut down while everyone spent a half hour BSing and looking tools over for the tenth time.

I finally limited it to two at a time to the truck. The salesman soon learned he'd better cut the BS, sell them something and get them out of the truck for the next couple or he'd be there a half a day without selling anything.

Since then, I never have been enthused about Snap On tools.

Ask Ellen Degeneras....Rosie O'Donnell...... harhar....sorry, couldn't resist

Actually Snap-On had a retail store here in Auburn Hills, MI. It lasted about a year before they shut it down, so it must have not been a success. I was in there one time and I was the only customer. Same outrageous prices as the trucks.

As a Locomotive machinist/mechanic on Burlington
Northern Santa Fe Railroad, we used all Snap-on
supplied by the railroad. They purchased the
tools at approx. 70% off list, and employees
could put in an order for "take home" tools at
the same price as BNSF. Snap-on has special
reps. that call only on Railroads & Industry.
Though retired, I now order through the Snap-on
website. There is no substatute for quality!
