Ok guys, I think I need to buy a new ginny for my 6v 8n, TSC has one for about $160.00 bucks, What do you guys think about that? is it a good price? I have seen them for them for a lot more.

If you have the orginal generator get yours rebuilt even if it cost more.
That TSC unit is most likely some china junk.

Is this something I can do myself? or do I need a professional, what all is envolved.

I'd not try that myself, do it wrong and you can burn it up. It would be much faster and easier to let a pro do it.
