O/T computer help needed

Had some time to kill and decided to play a little solitaire. Got an error message "Hardware acceleration is either disabled or not supported by your video card driver which could slow game performance. Make sure you have the latest video card driver installed and that hardware acceleration is turned on." I ran repeated searches trying to locate hardware acceleration, but no files found. How do I fix this?

New computer? Vista or XP? Just went through a whole ordeal when I got a new system and nothing would work. Figured out a way to make it all better without remortgaging the farm to pay for it though.

Did the game work after the error message? If so, don't worry about it. You don't need hardware acceleration unless you play some of the really wild arcade games.

I had deleted some program that was trying to load. Apparently it was an update to the drivers. Finally found the "recovery" area and was able to recover and reload it. Everything is ok now.
