O/T Fuses

Blew a fuse in volt meter, it has a 500 ma ceramic fuse in it, can't find one so guy at a local electronics store said a 5 amp was the same as 500 ma, right or wrong and also what is the difference between regular fuse and a ceramic one. Thanks.. Don c

No, 5 amp is 5,000 ma. 10 times too big.

.5 amps, the ceramic will take the explosive flash better than glass. But that is way to big a fuse, you need to get the right fuse. Try Radio Shack.

Goto Radio Shack. They have them in a 2 pack. 500mAh ceramics.

500mA is 1/2 an amp
That is 0.5 amp
I would put the right one in.
