Well just got thru changing out the starter on my 92 gmc and changing the oil.Found some looseness in the front end ,and tightined it up.Havent been driveing it because of poor gas milage, but gas is a little cheaper,so Igot it out and went to work on it,but Ithink I will have to shim the starter, sounds like it is too tight. So tomorrow back under it I go.Isure enjoy driveing it but milage is low,of course it is extended cab and a heavy thing with a 350 motor and automatic.anybody have any ideas on increasing the gasmilage??Don't you just love working on machinery,I always have and building things too, guess it's in my blood Thanks Ken in Matador TX Going out to open house at Matador Ranch tomorrow. I will let you know about it ..........

What is your rear end gear ratio on this truck? That is the quickest and most efficient way to a big increase in milage. If you do not use it for hauling the higher the ratio the better. There probably is computer chip upgrades outher also.

Once could buy shims already cut out at auto supplies or electric repair shops if not make some from shim material or sheet metal.
