Should have introduced myself first

How rude of me. I have been lurking here for months before getting the nerve to actually post. I should have done what others have done- introduce myself! I am the service/fleet manager at a large southern Maine Marina. My wife and daughter live on the family homestead (100 ac). We cut hay and firewood. Currently running: 1948 farmall M,H and Cub. 1969 JD 1020, 1974 JD 350B dozer, 1997 JD 5400 MFWD and an unknown to date (Think its a Massey Harris). You may see my name on the Red and Green boards from time to time. I will be looking for help on the Massey? this winter- it was a free for the taking tractor. Thanks in advance for all of the help that I know is on this board.

Yep, in the up country in Frankfort, a little closer to Belfast than Bangor. Got a great view of the top of Mt. Waldo about a mile or so out the back windows.

Moms family was from Stockton Springs. We're in Limington- about 30 mi NW of Portland- the beginning of the Western Mountains (more like big hills)

Been to MN twice- Both times to New York Mills out to Lund Boat Company. Pretty state all the way from Minneapolis up through to the ND state line. It is some cold out there in Jan/Feb though- More windy than anything else. Summer was nice though. Wish my fields looked like out there- NO ROCKS!

Well there's a connection! My sweetheart, Miss Karee, is a Stockton girl. Her dad was a Sanborn from Winterport, but her mom is Bennetts on one side and Pinkhams on the other, both families with several generations right in Stockton village.

I thought Pequawket was back your way, prompting my question. About the only recreational fresh water of any size right in our neighborhood is Swan Lake. Busy enough, but I think that the ice fisherman make more holes in the water than do boats in the summer.

No relation there that I know of. Grandma was a Donahue. Lived right on Rt 3- Elmhurst Farm if I remember correctly. Sold her place in 1972. Lives in Ma now. Still kicking at 98 (this Saturday). Sebago is busy year round unless the ice is bad. We used to do OTR transport of boats and hauled many from the Belfast Town Landing to all points over the state a few years ago but gave it up due to too many others doing it for cut rate pricing.

Hmmm. Only Donahues Miss Karee's mom can come up with off the top of her head is she remembers a fellow who was a teacher or maybe an administrator of some sort at either the old middle school or the high school in Searsport.

Elmhurst?? sounds kinda familiar for some reason. Might be all washed up on that, but I'm thinkin' somebody might have a B&B shingle or somethin' of the sort out along Rte. 1/3. I'll have to keep an eye out.

Hi Pete, I went up to Limington to pick up a wagon front end a few years ago, at It'l Do Farm. You should come out to some southern Maine tractor pulls next spring.
