Help/Advice on 56 MF TO35

I havea 56 MF TO35 that had been burned,I had to replace all the gauges, The temperture gauge blub was to long to go back into the block(Messed that one up) bought another and that blub was to long too,Anyone know if one for another tractor will fit? or how to rig ths up so it will fit? James, I've seen tractors with a pipe tee above the hole for the temp bulb, then the adaptor and the bulb. Is that a possibility? The tee is on end and the side plugged. Hope you get the picture from my description. John

I have heard of shorter bulbs on the Ferguson board. Mine bulb was too long so I made a sleeve out of copper tubing and flared it a bit. Has worked fine and sealed for many years. If I needed another temp gauge I would look for the short tube.
