i have 59 fordsonmajor is there other blocks or engines that will fit with out many modification?

Hi
Over here in Scotland I have seen most of the Fordson major 4 cylinder engines fitted including the industrial version. A fairly common arrangment is to fit the 6 cylinder version straight from a combine or the 360 from something like a Ford truck. Occasionally I have seen them fitted with a Perkins 6354 engine. All of the 6 cylinder versions give a usful power advantage. Alterations to the sump (oil pan) and the front axle would be necessary. We tend to reverse the front axle to have it fixed to the outside of the radiator support block.
Hope this helps a little.
