Mr Pickens should be allowed to spend his own money, and that of voluntary investors, any way he sees fit, within the established regulatory framework, to develop any form of energy he wants, and to sell that energy on the open and free market at whatever price consumers are willing to pay.

There is no energy shortage. It's the marketing and politics.
Ever look up how much coal the US is sitting on?Add some more nuclear power and North America is energy independent.
I like the idea of using up other countries oil and saving our oil for when their's runs out.

To what pressure do you have to pressurize CNG to power an IC engine?
Gross assumption.... average 4000# vehicle gets 20 mpg with a 20 gallon tank will go 400 miles.
How bigga CNG tank will it take for the same 4000# vehicle to go 400 miles???????????

Nobody's taken advantage of me yet. And I'm in the transportation industry.
Seems like you're always a victim, tlak, with no freewill or enough ambition to take care of yourself. Just a passenger on the great ride of life, and everyone is taking advantage of you.
Tell me, did you feel badly for the "Big Oil" companies during the 80's when a barrel was at $12 and they were losing money? Don't answer, I already know.
What would your solution be, to nationalize the whole industry?

OHH ,, The GREEN peace People went NUTS With Climate CHANGE hype ,, Scarin The Heck out of everyone and fouling up prices and the whole world economy with a massive guilt trip if you turn on a internal combustion engine ,,.. I gotta agree with B&D as oil is nothing but a controlled commodity. To prove my point, OPEC in a special session Friday, just cut crude production 1.5m/bll/day as crude is falling too fast for there liking and pocket book.
OPEC's next meeting is mid-December and they said they may have too call another special session to again cut crude production if crude will not stabilize at $50/bll.
I think all utility's should be controlled priced by the gov't. You can't have a bunch of uncontrolled rich basterds setting the pricing as we just found out.
Another pet peeve of mine, is our local electric utility (APS) raised rates high enough the past 10yrs to buy all the farm land SW of Phoenix, then built huge home tracks, 2500 too 10000 homes each project, then asked for another utility hike as they were running short of money.
Before APS bought the prime farm land, land was running about $7k/a, now it's $35k to $80k/a.

Some people say stuff because they're ignorant.
Some people are educated on the issues yet still say stuff opposite because it fits their agenda.
Then there are dumbassses who say anything to hear their head rattle.
I think you're educated enough to be dangerous, ignorant to think it's a black and white world, and basically a big dumbasss.
Anybody has the option to read and agree with what I say or not. Your posts have become constant rants and attacks on anybody that doesn't agree with you and it's become regular because as soon as somebody digs into what you say it's all bull.
So girlyman next time you get in the back seat of your taxi (transportation industry) w/ your boyfriend, ask him if politicians are honest, and if he taps his foot three times...
