Question about tires pressures on gravity wagons

What air pressure should I be putting in for 11L 15 8 ply tires on my gravity wagons. I think I can read something that says 35lbs on the side wall, but that seems awfull low for hauling beans and corn. I have about a 2/3 load of beans on one wagon and 2 tires are squatting. The wagons are MN Jumbo 10 and a westendorf(sp?) 12 or 13, not sure. Are 11L 15"s big enough for these wagons? They carry a Killbros 350 with ext"s and Kory wagon about the same size maybe a little bigger.

Dave all 11L-15 are going to squat with a load on them.

I use to run 40 lbs in mine and never had any problems.

I still have the wagon and it is a 350 kilbros box also. Still has 3 of the orginal 11L-15 on it that it had when I bought it in 1977.

But I have always kept it in the shed and out of the sun. It doesn't get used much these days but could be used if needed.

They should be plenty big enough for gravity boxes. We don't have much for 11L-15's on our implements, but we do have some 10.00 15's and some 12.5L-15's on our chopper wagons. We'll put them up to 60 PSI when chopping hay/corn. For straw I'll leave them at about 40 so they doesn't bounce so hard.

Gotta remember, grain weighs a heck of a lot, so depending on the size of the wagon, I'd expect the tires to squat a little-or a lot.

Okay guys here is the sad news. If you go by the specs that the tires are designed for very seldom do grain wagons have big enough tires. In this case an 11L15/8 ply tire is rated max load of 2540 lbs at max pressure of 36 psi. 2540 x 4 = 10160 gross weight. I don"t know what tare is on a wagon but lets say it weighs 1500lbs. (Kind of light guess I think) That leaves you with net load of 8660, Divided by 56 lbs and you can carry almost 155 bushels of corn.
