time to hunt moose.

Well its time to pack the sleeping bag and get the ole moose gun out. Weather is just right and the moose are comming to the call.Mother natures been good to all the animals this year so they should be heavy and healthy.Frost on the pumpkin makes the moose roam at this time of year.Wish I could treat yall south of the border to some moose steak.Let you know how I make out.
 
me too i never had moose and id like to try some, how does it compare to elk, antelope or deer?
 
Been there and back in mid to late Sept.
Our previously fly in only camp of 30 years and 28 moose now has road access due to local logging.
The natives with their status cards have shot everything around there that moves.
Nest year we will have to fly farther north.
We even had two bull tags in area 17 this year.
 
My boss goes moose hunting every year and we have some once ina while at work. everything from moose and noodles, to maid rites . It is delicious, better than deer and I think a little better than beef.
 
My son got a real nice moose just north of Redwater Alberta the other day. Only problems was he used his new Ford work van on his way to a job site. Air bags deployed, rolled it three times, moose dead, he walks away no injuries.
 
Drill's son did well to walk away. A moose is very tall, they tend to go through the windshield and into the passengers.
