Tired of being gouged when buying propane. In 2006, I paid $1.46 per gallon when the whole sale price was $.90. Now I paying $2.20 when the wholesale price is $1.07. Figuring 350 gals that's $196 vs $395 profit for the supplier on every fill.

Yup the retailers bought ahead to save you money this winter as the price usually goes up thru the winter.

Now they have all this high price inventory and can't sell it for a loss.

It is even worse for the fertilizer retailers.

After they work thru this high priced inventory the price will come down ,unless the wholesale end takes off for the sky again.

Just paid my propane fill and asked what price it was today and she said it dropped 30 cents so would be 1.63 Mine was the old price. sounds like it will drop some more and then start up again.People who contracted it for 2.25 are phoning in mad but can,t help them she said

Yes the fertilizer and propane retailers may be getting burned this year but that leaves open the question of Why should I have to pay for their mis-calculation.
Most years they buy when the price is low but charge higher rates when the price goes up.
They do not give me any discount because they bought at a lower price or base the final sale price on what they spent. It's called profit.

So in a year that they did the wrong thing by buying early why should I have to bail them out. It is now called a loss. The price of doing bussiness.

I wonder if you could get the grain elevator to work on these same terms the fertilizer company whats to use??????????
