Unless it's burnt out, you can put brushes, a bearing, and a bushing in it yourself for about$12.00 and save yourself a wad of the green stuff.

The H's little 1101377 Delco could make 11-13 amps cold and only 6.5 to 8.5amps hot.
If you could find a 20amp #1101859 from 40/420/430. Or a 35amp 1100027/1100038 from a starting engine equipped diesel.
They would still look like a generator but apply a charge to the battery like an alternator.
