i HAVE A 194? FARMALL M i HAVE TAKEN THE COMPRESSION FROM EACH CYLINDER BUT DON'T KNOW THE SPEC,S ON THIS 4 CYL 277.1 .
iS THE A FORMULA TO GET TO THE FACTORY SPEC OR IS THERE SOME ONE WHO I COULD CALL TO GET IT.

I don't have an exact "spec", and it would depend upon what pistons are installed in the tractor. (OEM or aftermarket high-compression pistons vs. original.)

ONE important think to look for is that ALL the readings be within 5% or so of each other. That is a good indicator there are no burnt valves or REALLY bad cylinders.

If it has standard pistons my understanding is "spec" is about 135 PSI. With lots of hours it should still run "decent" with at least 115 PSI. Start getting below that and you'll notice a real drop off in power.
