Hello . Is there anybody out there who would know a few facts about the Volvo BM 2654 Tractor ? First , How many engine cylinders did it have ? Second , what engine HP was it . And third , Just how correct is that Britians Model of the 2654 that they began making in 1980 ? My Email is [email protected]

David,

I do not know the specifics of that tractor, but I have some interest in the Volvo tractors as my Swede relatives have an approx 50 hp diesel from the early 60's.

IIRC, the Volvo company joined up with the heavy equipment manufacturer in Sweden to produce farm tractors and mining equipment. That is the Bolander-Munktel company which earlier in the 1900's made railroad engines.

The name "Volvo BM" is the name of this joint manufacturing venture. I think the farm tractor division later became part of the Valtra tractor company of Finland, now owned by AGCO.

I am interested in finding out more about their farm tractor history.
