We started about 11 this morning. Beans are a pleasant suprise. Seems like these 3.1 beans are going to be mid 50's. I figured for sure all the cool damp weather and the sudden death would keep them under 50.

At 5 this evening we had only 36 rows left out of a nice 80 acre field when cliff hollered on the radio we had trouble. Clean grain auger under the seives had broke. This happened once before a few years ago. Not a big deal but ended harvest for the day. He was moving along at a amazing pace. This was probably the most acres per hour we have ever got over. Its a 2366 with a 25 ft platform running in excess of 5mph. He wasnt even unloading on the go because when we tried I got stuck, again, fourth time this fall.

If it doesnt rain we will get the combine back together first thing in the morning and get going. It was another beautiful fall day.

just started late this afternoon here in south central Mn. It's a 1.8 bean and going about 48 bpa. Moisture at 12.7% starting to sprinkle as I write this. Neighbor called. Needs help patching a hole in grain tank on his 6620. Told him if it rains I can help otherwise I want to combine beans tomorrow. Be safe, The Flying Belgian.

Congrats on find'n more beans than you were figure'n on. All mine have just started turning yellow this past week. They were 4.8 and 4.9's. All these picks of crops going out makes me wish my corn was in the bin. It's still standing better than most round here. Have'n only 60 acres I can't figure out how to pay for a combine but I am sure get'n jumpy wait'n to get a neigbor to custom harvest it.

Good luck and be safe.

Well, rain is on the way. The thunder and lightning has been rolling accross the prarie for the last half hour. Looks like I will have time to fix the combine and work on the leaking loader cylinder on the 4020. Hope someone stays dry and can get some work in today!

I noticed that the bean harvest had started this weekend while I was driving around. If you are harvesting somewhere between the Jacksonville to Springfield area, I may have seen you out while I was on the interstate.
