I know there is someone out there that has rebuilt a water pump for a Super C and I could use some advise.
I bought the rebuild kit, and got the old one off the engine. I was able to pull off the pulley and pull out the old bearing/shaft.
Now I'm trying to put it back together and was wondering what the clearances should be between the impeller and the housing.
Also, I saw an exploded view of a water pump on the CaseIH website and they have a bearing retainer, but I didn't find one when I pulled mine apart. Is this bearing just press fit or is there a retainer? See attached photo part 3.
Any help would be appreciate.
