My computer will not shut down unless I cancell or end the program called (TeaTimer.exe) I guess I should spend the money and take it to a professional and have them fix it. My wife thinks it is a virus of some sort. I went ot the (start) icon and went to the (Run) and typed in
TeaTimer.exe and it found nothing. I have tired several things to find the program and found nothing. I have Windows XP. Maybe some of you might have a sugestion.
Thanks

Type "TeaTimer.exe" in Google, it'll tell you all about it. Jack-Iowa is right though, it's part of Spybot S&D.

Tea Timer is the Internet Explorer settings protection function of Spybot Search & Destroy. You can disable it on the newest version (1.6) by setting it to Advance Mode, then selecting Tools, System Startup and clearing the checkbox by the Tea Timer item listing. On older versions, I think there was an option of the left side of the main menu that said Resident; clicking this option gives another menu on which you can uncheck the Tea Timer option to disable it.

Are you having any other problems with the Spybot program? If so, then definitely uninstall, reboot and reinstall the whole thing.

Good luck!

Anthony
