Farmall H W4 restoration, Your opinion

Nice job. Like the standard best but that WD sure reminds me I need to get mine home for a winter project. Thanks for the photos. Bob

Thank you for the feed back..

Bob that WD is in great shape. Just a paint job, it runs perfect no smoke, and start on the crank too. What year is your WD are you going to a full restore???[/url]

Everyone should own at least one W4 in their lifetime!! My wife has our 1950 setting on carpet in the garage!! Great looking tractors!! W4

Had a W4 about 35 years ago- nice rig, ran smooth, steered well. Did some baling with it, though, and that PTO spinning between your legs was a little worrisome. I got some heavy-duty rubber bands from the "junk drawer", put them in the toolbox, and faithfully put them on my baggy overalls whenever I did PTO work with it. I figured I "had it made", machinery-wise- a separate tractor on each haying implement: 8N Ford on the sickle bar mower (Massey Dyna-Balance), W4 on an ancient JD side deliver rake, and JD 420 with live PTO on old, but little-used Ford baler. "Ridin' in high cotton."

Nice W-4 I Restored a 1950 Last Year For a friend, it was on the back cover of Red Power For May-June Issue. The Headlights are at the bottom of the radiator on it? wonder what was the diff. ? gene
