Plowing Help

does anyone have a diagram or a description of the best way to run two tractors plownig a field? any help is appreciated. they are a 2 and 3 bottom plow if that makes a difference. thanks kevin

Kevin, Google Kvnernland and there should be instructions on setting up plows and how to plow. They produce competition plows that are recognised world wide.

With the info given I would pace off the distance I was willing to drive on the headlands. This is the area you turn around in. Then divide the paces in half and start that many paces from the edge. When you have gone round and round turning right till you have reached the edge, this is your first land. Then pace off from the plowed ground three times the distance you paced in the first place and start agan turning right. When your new land is the same size as the first one plow the center turning left.

If you can determine how it was plowed last, it might be good to reverse the plan - dead furrow where back furrow was, etc. This will somewhat level out the last plowing. I have several fields that have been plowed any old way several times - have taken to plowing on the diagonal, in an attempt to help level, then getting darn agressive with disk and spring tooth drag to further level.
