Steiger ST 270 tractor !! Help !!

O.k. got the front and rear diffs. out of the tractor.I can't see anything wrong no badly worn gears,no bearings out .The only thing I did see is that the axle ends are rubbing on the thrust button on the covers at the wheels.Looks like the back has limited slip and the front is locked.Why does this tractor pop and shake when you turn it .We bought the tractor this spring thinking it was all ready for the feild.We used it 3 hours and decided something was wrong and parked it.What could it be I'm lost.
 
Have you checked the u-joints & center brg.Also check the driveshaft that telescopes when turning that it slides free.If they check out how are the pivot pins & brgs.Good luck.
 
I took drive shafts off one at a time and drove it .Still shakes and pops .I'll look at the the over items you mentioned.Thanks for the information.
 
I know it sounds simple but are the u joints aligned right? Probably not twisted but if one is or the joints are not running in the same plane what you are describing would be the result,

It might have a NoSpin option. That is the way they work. When the torque bias is high enough they break loose so you can steer.
