scrap prices

Seems like scrap has dropped some here in the last few weeks. Local place gives 40/ton for straight breakable cast and 125 for shreadable mixed. They were paying $205/ton for "new" cast. One place and hour away told me $0.40/lb for clean "OLD" cast what ever that is. I've got an old tractor rearend/trans w/axles and gears that no-one wants. What are yous seeing for prices?? I'm in Northern Indiana. Thanks.

Here in SW NY. Uncut is $160/ton and cut is $240/ton.

Prepared(3'x18")#2 scrap steel $150 yesterday.SE MN.

Was at $280 for a while this summer.

I just got 380 per ton for clean #1 cast tractor bolcks,trannys,wheel wts and tourque tubes clean told me thats what they want is clean stuff and bring more if ya gots it.

Yes extremely busy. The only reason I've had time to check up tractor forum is I had surgery 3 weeks ago and Dr. wont let me do any farm work. Should be back in shape for harvest time. Cant wait.
