oil filter for a 1970 BMC tractor

Help! My husband just bought a 1969 or 1970 BMC tractor.
The oil filter is filthy. Does anyone have one that will fit this tractor? We can't seem to find one.
We live in NH.

You might want to contact some from the group below and if you can find engine model which I"m sure matches some car or truck imported by BMC, MG"s, Austin, etc., here you should be able to find a filter at Wix or Fram

Can you get any numbers from the old filter for
cross reference? Even if it's inside a cannester
there should be numbers on it, seen when it's
pulled out.

A 1980 NAPA master filter catalog lists a
NAPA 1300, for year 1966-on for a BMH tractor,
but that catalog, and a 1998 one, big as a Sears
catalog don't even list BMC
Assuming that it is a British product...
"Tractor and Machinery" magazine, a British
publication, available at Barnes and Noble, on
the magazine rack, has several hundred ads for
tractor parts, some only selling filters.
most have e-mail address'es and many indicate
they will "Ship anywhere". It's a pricy mag.
at $8.99, but you could e-mail some of the
advertisers and find what you need.
I was told that TSC stores may sell this Mag.
