went looked at a kubots rtv900 with the camo. kit. nice looking ride any thing i need to know before final deal, good, bad ugly. has. plastic top, glass windshield, wiper kit. will have hand throttle instaled along wih trun signal,

My friends have them. Personally I don't like them! Loud and heavy, way too loud to have a pleasure ride with the wife with you. Too heavy to navigate wet ground. Unless you are planning to spend all day on it there are better machines in my opinion. Bush Hog comes to mind as does Land Pride Trekkers. Quiet Honda engines and light enough to get places. Good Luck

Lanse, you found out the hard way what happens to a hydro in heavy draft work, but on the same hand, a hydro is a great stop and go machine, and much better on a machine that caliber if you are using it as a work vehical. Notice the word WORK. If you want something that doubles as a small work truck buy the Kubota, if you want something to play buy a belt drive like a polaris or yamaha.

We have a RTV900 Special Edition and my wife
absolutely loves it,yes it is noisy but it is
great for working and that's what we use it
for.The hydraulic dump bed is awesome. We visit
when we are riding in it and she has even talked
on her cell phone while we've been out riding in
it.

Don,t know why anyone would talk against the hydro..To date my dealership has sold 231 of the rtv 900 units not ONE repeat not one has been back for hydro, Same nit as used in KUBOTA tractors tested and proved. No other units offers you the power steering , customers love that also the TRUE hydraulic dump as oposed to electric lifts found on other units. Heavy duty unit that you will love once you get used to the hydro..CAN,T TALK PRICE HERE BUT E-MAIL ME AND i WILL TELL YOU IF YOU ARE GETTING THE RIGHT PRICE.

I have one that has 105 ours. No problems so far except---Can only use it when grandkids aren't around. They walk in the door and ask where the Kubota is and when they can drive or ride. Never had a machine that uses so little fuel. Wish I had two.

Kawawsaki mules are a good machine and cheaper than the Kubota. I think they have a diesel one as well. They aren't hydrostatic but nothing wrong with hydro transmisssions if used right. One of the most efficent transmissions there is. Polaris or Yamaha aren't the same class of vehicle. Skid steers use hydro trans. and there are thousands of them out there along with a whole mess of other machines that use them. Crawler loaders and some dozers use hydrostatic trans. Most large dozers use a different trans. Almost every machine on a golf course has a hydrostatic transmission and they get used a lot. It is wrong to say they aren't a good transmission. Anything will break if abused. Dave

We have one with 400 hours and no problems yet. Plastic cab and all the goodies, We are at 9000' elev and up and down a 15% grade several times a day. It will handle about 6" of snow on that grade. Can't run both windsheild wipers at the same time. Forgot to read the label, but carry three Adults most of the time.

(quoted from post at 17:00:04 09/05/08) i think this well be the machine i well go with power steering sound good. ol arms not what they ues to be. also the hydo transmission over belt drive is a one other reason. there weight only around 250 to 400 lbs diferent then some of the other machines.the only other thing, i see is it dont look like it well fit in the back, my f150 super crew. cross that bridge when i get there. j.w. i be glad to e-mail you if i new your e-mail mine is [email protected].
