JOHN DEERE B STOLEN!!!

An unstyled John Deere B was stolen out of a shed on the property where I live, 1 mile west of Johnson Nebraska. It belonged to a relative of my landlady. The B has good paint and one distinguishing feature that I remember is that the rear wheel hubs are unpainted/rusty. MAN! I wish I had more info on it"s description! It DID have a wood saw attached to the front, but the thief went to the trouble to remove it and left it in the shed. It probably has been missing for 2-3 weeks now, someone else noticed it was not in the shed anymore and we just assumed that the owner came and got it, now I find out that the owner came to get the B and it was GONE!

its getting bad people stealin stuff. someone came here to my farm on monday an stole some front weights for the duduque tractors i have. an they got into the parts room down by an old barn also, not for sure if they got anything out of there yet have to really go through it an try to remember what was all in there.
the worst thing about it is i know it has to be someone i know, cause you would never think of lookin in a old grainery for parts if you didnt know they were there.
they had to know that my folks, my wife an i were all gone also.
just my 2 cents worth

Absolutely! It had to be someone who had been to the place before and seen the tractor in the shed as you can't see it from the road. Then picked a time when no one was home, weekend probably.

About a year ago a friend of mine who owned a trailer dealership had a new 30 ft. stock trailer stolen off of his lot in broad day light on a very busy hi-way. He was closed that day because his son was getting married. He figured it had to be someone he knew well, because of the time they did it. It is getting so you can"t trust anyone these days. Never recovered the trailer either.

some family friends had a generator stolen off of a back porch of their home.
she is gone a day a week she works as a volunteer
at local hospital.
it had to be someone that had been watching their neighborhood as another neighbor had a lawnmower stolen same day.

I think the tractor was easier to steal than what I read in the paper today. A 8 ft tall mechanical gorilla was stolen from outside a store in East Machias Maine in broad daylight. DOUG

Get'n bad here too.

Got married the first weekend in June. Whole family was out of town for the weekend. Three houses on the dead end road. Mon's, mine, grnadmother's in that order. Some one emptied my diesel tank. 300 gallon tank, half full. Had to drive up her drive way past the house and behind the tobacco barn. Between me and grandmother we have 7 dogs, never bit anyone but any body who don't know'm will not get out of the truck when they come out to great them.

Had to be some one I know. That hurt worse than the $600 kick in the teeth.

Good luck.

Yeah things are just peachy around here too.
Few months ago I hauled a load for a friend who's truck was tore up. I went to Miami and picked up his equipment, hauled it back, was helping one of his guys unload and hurt my back to the point I had to go the hospital, so I left my 32' equipment trailer in his lot overnite so they could finish unloading, next morning it was gone. Complete loss there, can't afford another one.

Then a couple weeks ago, someone stole the tires off my neighbors Cub when he left it out overnite, which I haven't been able to find any I could afford to replace for him either. Real nice times we are stuck in.

Moparman,

I still have that set of rear rims and tires for a cub i will give that gentelmen. Problem being i'm in Michigan.

Do you know any truckers that might be up this way ?

Whoa there plowboy...a friend of mine had his house robbed and his German Shepard Duke would rip a stranger or friend to shreds if they even came in the yard. The police say that these thieves deal with dogs all the time, they carry dog biscuits, meat packets and pepper spray..theres lots of thefts where the owners can't understand why the dog didn't chase them off

You guys are scareing me ! Makes me not want to leave the house. Should I sit on porch with loaded gun and keep watch ?

Last fall I had a snowblower stolen right off my front porch in brod day light.
The sad thing is that I know who did it and the local police didnt do a darn thing about it.
I dont keep a loaded gun , but I keep the shells perty close just in case.

Thanks James, that seams to be the problem everyone is quite a distance from this part of the country.
I have a guy who transports cars that I will ask if he is ever up your way.
I know that he usually runs the eastern seaboard, but he may go into Michigan occasionally.

Some one did not just happen on the tank with 3 barrels in the back of the truck. If the tank was on the side of the road I would agree. It is so far off the road that it had to be some one I know.

Ok, this makes sense...I drove by a place in East Machias that had a SMALL gorilla with a sign on it saying "where's Mommy?" and I didn't get what it meant until now.
