Has anybody heard of any attempts to renovate/modify the old lpg tractors to run off compressed natural gas?

CNG is way different in composition. It has only one major problem. it takes massive high pressure pumps to compress it enough to get enough of it into a vehicle/tractor to do work. It can be liquefied, LNG, but that takes way special handling and continued bleed off/use to remain very cold. Not a portable system. JimN

I'm retired from a natural gas co, we had cng vehicles. 2 1/2 ton GMCs with 366 V8s, dual fuel, 3000# tanks, refueling stations, etc, didn't have power. I'm running LP MMs, no lack of power, CNG isn't hot enough to run unless in a specially prepared engine, cam, comp, etc.
