OT People with two SSNs

How can these people with two social security numbers be made to give one number up? Biometric IDs at the SS office? I heard that double dipping of government and state program is widespread among the people with two ss numbers.
 
seems like your more on the inside looking out. If you don't know its true then don't start a wildfire over gossip.
 
I know a guy with 2 SSN, 2 names, two drivers license. Got caught DUI, so he just started using the other license.
 
Simple. Turn them in for identity fraud. To get a 2nd ssn, DL, etc, you must have lied to get it.

Way back in the early 70's, you didn't have to turn in your drivers license from one state when getting a license in another state. There was a time when I had valid drivers licenses from 3 different states. Not so anymore, they all expired and it got a lot tougher to get duplicates. I imagine that years ago it was probably pretty easy to do the same with SS numbers......
 
Some years ago (15-20) a local man discovered that he had a double (same name, birthdate, and soc. sec .number a thousand miles away. Never did hear how the problem was resolved. It is about as hard as ID theft.

Discovered a person using two SSNs when I was a banker.

Asked the person "which one of you should I report to the Social Security Administration office?"

Person got mad at me because I did a credit report before considering the loan application.

Gone are the days of a "kiss and a promise".

One day I might write a book on my banking experiences.
