adding cab to MF1105

I am thinking of adding a cab to my MF1105 so that i can turn it into my hay baling machine. I must bale hay in a cabbed tractor due to a allergy to pollen and grass (I can get through all my other farm tasks but baling hay does me in).

My favorite massey dealer has had an 1135 sitting in his lot for years, doesn"t run, but does have a cab.

Would it be ridiculously expensive to have him move the cab to my 1105 and install a NEW a/c unit and all new seals, stripping, etc...?

Also would the dash and hydraulic controls all have to be replaced as well?

I'm hoping you add the cab. Maybe you will include pictures and progress as the project continues. As Allan NE did on the 1066. Speeking of Allan NE, is he on vacation or not working on equipment. I miss not seeing his pictures of acclompishments, and the process involved with his adventures. I always looked forward to opening the site up and hearing from him and Ia Gary and all the others who share the trials and adventures with us.

If you have the dealer do it for ya, I'd guess that the cost would just about tear ya up. I had that operation done once and they dinged me $4K.

Since, I've done three other tractors myself here at home and it is "involved" but not totally un-doable. (but then, I like to tinker too). :>)

Bob: Naw, I'm here; just busy with my "real" job. :>(

Where are you in Ky? I have an 1155 with a good cab. I would like a set of fenders. It has air on it also. Maybe we could make a trade. I am sure the cab on the 1105, 1135, and 1155 are the same. Email me
