here is the massey that came home with my buddy. i think its a 65. kinda had a motor fire. carb leaked fuel on the exhaust caught on fire, then fire spread to the fuel that dripped on the ground.

Can't be too bad, the sheet metal isn't warped from the fire, just bent up. They musta got it put out quickly. I bet he got a deal.

Probably not much to fix it, not counting the cosmetics. And thats probably not a big deal, either.

The muffler under the running board makes it a 65. The 50 had the muffler up by the manifold. It is obviously a "High Arch" with 38" tires. It appears to be a late model with the dished steering wheel and high pedals and running boards.

A similar thing happened to our 35 Special years ago. It has been converted to vertical exhaust so it wouldn't gas the workers in the tobacco field, especially on a setter. I don't think it took a whole lot to fix it. With a wire wheel and some paint and maybe a carb. kit and some wires he'll have that tractor going in no time.
