Tachometer for 1950 Farmall H

Hello
I have a 1950 Farmall H and want to monitor the
RPM. I have never seen a tachometer on an H.
Could I put an after market electronic tach on her (if i remeber right positive,chassis ground,
and negitive lead to coil) and get an acurate
RPM reading?
Someone please help

i have an "old school" analog dwell tach meter that works on 6v pos ground, i dont see why you cant use an old type tach on your h.

You could use an old tach, just find a distributor base with a tach drive in it.

Thanks so much for the responce, but I forgot to add one thing I converted my H to 12 volt negitive ground.

In that case you can just use a regular automotive tach from your local parts house.
