O/T Strange August Weather

Sure having some strange weather here in the Texas panhandle. So far we have had about 5" of rain in the last 3 days and more on the way.Temps have barely gotten out of the 60's.Not complaining mind you,we need all we can get.Sure is a nice change from our usual HOT,DRy weather pattern.

My brother and I were talking about the strange summer we are have'n here in West KY. For the last 10 days humidity has been in the 50's and temps have not been over mid 80's.

We decided that if the winter is as much below normal than the summer's been we were going to be in trouble.

The weather here in MD has been beautiful, almost like spring again. 70-80 degrees, with some nice rains on the weekends, you can't get much better than that.

In august, we usually get the stupid gulf humidity and well over a hundred degrees "feel."
Last year, It was hotter here than it was when I was in Las vegas.

having a drought here in mid-Tenn. Sunny & 90's everyday. Little shower other nite is only rain in weeks

NE Illinois location has one day offically at 91 degrees to date. Back to 1930 for the same temp records. Rain has been above average. Super lighting storms.

Nova on PBS had a article on Dimming of the Sun. Bottom line pollution has made the clouds like mirrors and reflect the sun back. Weather types have proven it world wide. So have 1 degree C less temps than in the fifties. Shown that jet trails "water vapor" is having the same effect on temp reduction. When the jets were grounded for 3 day nation wide shown a 1 degress temp increase in that three days. Proved the same in the Malatizes Island chain over a one year study. Now the buzze word is gobal warming must ba a Gore Issium.

Dallas is on fire for heat.

The answer is...I haven't seen Algore on TV lately, every time he opens his mouth, the hot air spewing out raises the global temps!

(quoted from post at 21:34:07 08/18/08) It's either Global Warming, Bush's fault, or both.
ot global warming but "climate change". This year is a lot cooler in NW GA. I've only seen one day at 100 degrees. Last year it was ad infintum or something like that. David.......
