Soybean Aphidss, any of you seeing them?

A week ago, there were too many to count. Sprayed Wednesday. Central Iowa. You need some, I have some captured in a ziplock bag? They have begun to abandon the bean plant in there.

had em show up outa nowhere here in sw mn. threw in some stuff for em with the second round of roundup! good riddance!!!

airplane came and sprayed about 2 weeks ago, most of the farms by me had them sprayed too, ne illinois

Everyone in my area(SE MN) sprayed last week. When scouting,I found dang near 50 on one leaf in some spots!Easily beyond threshhold to consider spraying.

Hit 'em with Asana. Some use Warrior, but is known to be more harmful to humans when handling(what ain't)?

The "hot" season for aphids is over here.

Otherwise,beans look great.

Not at threshold level here yet.

But some are not far from here. Some spraying in those areas.

24 july they were at threshold on 20% of the plants. I went to the coop to have them spray. They said they hadn't sprayed any yet and to wait to the first of August. I checked on the first and the population had started to decline. I checked yesterday and found 50 on 20% of plants. Coop said the only beans they sprayed were feilds that needed a second dose of roundup so they threw the insecticide in. Here in SE MN spraying for aphids is not economical after Aug 10 because the bean plant changes growth stage to pod fill and the bugs don't like that juice so the population crashes, so the experts tell me. You also got to watch the pre harvest interval on some insecticides.
