Fellas I am sorry to have to inform everyone that my 15 year old passed away today. I can't explain how hard this is to type this message and keep the tears from flowing. His heart failed around 4 this morning with complications from an infection. The doc had a fancy name for it but basically its something that damages the heart and causes heart failure. He had no medical problems and was an avid baseball player. Its been a bad day. I'll post more info in the next few days.
 
No words can describe what you and yours are going through now. Survive it and talk about your son whenever possible, it will help you heal.

Very sorry to hear this, you don't have the easiest job, meaning you do make enemies as a law officer. I wouldn't want your job and some of the previous postings are totally uncalled for. You have always given me the answers I need even for non DOT related issues. My prayers are with you and your family, if you need someone to talk to, just call me. DOUG
 
The time and effort you had to spend in letting your "tractor family" know of the loss and situation, is appreciated by all.

If only I could answer your question of "why?". If only I could do or say something that would ease your grief. Only God can do that. Now would be a good time to lean on Him and those that know Him.

No words can console, no person can replace, but many hearts can, and do bleed for you and yours, tonight.

Many years ago, I had a very sick boy, he was just 17 at the time. His life was spared, but during his sickness, I came to understand many things I never did before.

The main thing was; he wasn"t mine, but belonged to Him. God gave this child to enrich our lives, just as He enriched the lives of your family through your son. Why God calls them back when He does, is something I will never know. But, I learned to give thanks for every day he allows us to know our children.

You might find strength in doing as King David did, by reading 2 Samuel 12:15-23.

I pray God"s blessings upon you.

I am so sorry to hear this. If there is anything that I can do please let me know. I almost stopped in to the store this evening. We will be praying for you family's comfort.
 
I have had heart problems since I was a young boy at 57 I had a quadruple by-pass. I know what its like to always be the last kid to make it up the hill.
I hope that you will find another Boy maybe an orphan to adopt to take his place. That would be good for you and the new boy.

Dave- My wife's nephew passed the exact same way four years ago. Also 15, and an avid baseball player. No warning, just gone. He was 1 day older than my son. Makes me hug my boy a bit firmer every day. You will survive, but never be the same. My God be with you.
 
Dave, you have our prayers as well. No words can express anything to make the loss go away, so I simply pray that God will comfort you and your family at this trying time, and that He will provide you peace and understanding.

The sun will shine a little more as each year passes. As I heard one time, perhaps when we get there we won't have to ask why. As any loved one would say that went ahead...don't die with a broken heart. As a child dies, so does a family. Keep it up best you can till time helps you take a full breath again.

I can't imagine your pain, and I'm so ashamed of any remarks made below by the person with more sadness than you are facing now. He must overcome issues far sadder than yours. May the good Lord help both of you in your time of need. If you vent on this dude we will all support and understand. Perhaps someday we as well can forgive and understand him. NE IA

Mate, so sorry to hear of your loss. My 15yr old daughter is in the room here with me and I don't know how I would handle it if something like that happened. Prayers for you and yours from downunder.

Dave, I cant begin to express how sorry I am for your loss. I think of my grandson and the thought of anything happening to him just short circuits my heart. Youll probably be strong through this but at some point youll have to deal with the grief inside.
I hope your family and friends realize a burden this size must be shared for its far to hard to bear alone. Im not a religious man but I will indeed say a prayer tonight....Don
 
I had a long prayer for you, and your family, and I think we should all do as God wants and pray for those who have said hateful and hurting things to you and yours. I pray that God will touch this person, or people, in a way that we are not able to. May God be with you and your family.

Dave, I know there is no way that I can say I know what you are going through even though I have lost my mom and dad a brother and a wife at an early age and I cannot imagine losing my sons. Usually your close family members and friends are your strength so my e-mail is open anytime you want to talk because you will go through many phases and it helps to vent.
