hydraulic cylinder

We broke the shaft on a cylinder of the front end loader. New one should be here tomorrow. The question is how do I bleed it. Do I leave the connection loose at end that drives piston back and push the piston out with the valve to fill that end and push the air out then tighten the fitting on that end or is there something I'm missing? Thanks alot. Mike

There is no bleeding to hydraulics on a tractor. Once you connect the lines, run it up and down, the air will exit back to the system tank.

Button up the connections tight and just use it.

Air squeezed at 2250 psi is a very small volume and tends to dissolve in the oil and be released in the oil reservoir. No need to make a mess bleeding with leaky connections.
