Tire Town or Newbraska Tire, best service?

Anybody had any problems with either company? In the driveshed this morning. We found that nasty calcium Chloride salt water seaping through the sidewall of a 1983 vintage Firestone tire.

I know nothing about Tire Town, but Nebraska Tire seems to be on the skids. They've just closed several stores, including my local one in Seward, NE. I never had experience with them on tractor tires, but I gave up on them for car and pickup tires.

Mostly Nebraska Tire's tires werent' all that great and they couldn't balance worth a darn. I don't know if it was the balancer or the operator, but I took a couple wheels straight off their balancer and put them on my bubble balancer in my shop and both were off about an ounce.

Obviously, if Nebraska Tire had balance them properly, they should have pinwheeled the bubble on my bubble balancer.

If there's a Farmer's Coop nearby, that might be your best bet.

Call them don't deal online and ask up front what you want and expect or what tire brand they are sending you and how the freight deal works and costs. Read the definitions of buffed and blemished tires on their site and know what those are. Got several buffed or blemished tractor and combine tires from Tire Town and they all outlasted other new Firestone or Goodyear from local dealer at fraction of the cost. Some blemished tires may have rough finish on sidewalls or tread so not a tire for nit picking show tractor people. If not mounting yourself make sure to find a independent dealer that will mount them for you and get a set quote on that. No experience with passenger tires from Tire Town or anything from Nebraska Tire.

When I checked with them awhile back on a set of tires for a unstyled B they tried to sell me a cheap set of tires imported from India! NOT!

I wouldn't give two cents for the customer service of one of the two Tire Towns I'm familiar with. The other was customer oriented and of great service.

I think it simply boils down to who the local manager is and how knowledgeable they are.

I bought my latest truck tires from Nebraska Tire. No complaints. Even though they had to ship, they ended up costing me less than buying them locally would have.

Don't know tire town. But no longer buy from Nebraska tire. Don't forget when you buy local there price may include putting them on the rim. Unless you know and have the tools to mount the tires you may end up paying a higher price.
