I've heard for the last few years that soybean rust is coming. but I never heard of it on grass. Soo what's the deal with my grass? Almost looks like a blight of some kind. What is it?

I'm not sure what kind of rust that is, or even which species of grass, but I think that it probably isn't related to soybean rust. It seems like each plant species has its own diseases and they don't often intermingle cross-species. One notable exception is rye rust (ergot) which also infects wild buckthorn.

What I wanted to say though is that I've noticed rusts on all kinds of different wild grasses this year which I don't normally see. I think it has a lot to do with the constant rains here. Being in IA, I assume you've had a pretty wet season as well.
