Was in a big slam-bang hurry to get this wheat straw off the field and the only free tractor was this little 70-horse.

Carryin' 11 bales sure made 'er grunt coming up out of those draws. We got 'er done, but 'er tongue was hangin' out and she was pantin' heavy when it was over. :>)

Boy sounds like you need to be looking for another tractor and keep that one for lighter stuff. It just isn't right if a feller has to unhitch. :? )

Is that a shop built trailer? It is pretty neat if it unloads and the bales are still lined like that.

4 tires.

I've carried 11 5' bales with it, but this was the first time I've ever tried it hauling the big guys.

Neighbor says he does it all the time. 'Course, he uses a lot bigger tractor too. :>)

Takes a bit of a learning curve to learn how to load and unload.

Have to let the bed chains push the trailer out from underneath the stack.

It's a Leahman stack mover.

Question for Allan- - -I notice that you seem to have a lot of dead trees in you grove- - - Is that because of drouth, or insect damage of some kind?

I enjoy your posts, and your pictures are great!

For sure.

Back in the day, everyone in these parts planted Chinese Elm for their hardiness. Could withstand the winters and the hot, hot summers.

Only trouble was, they only have a life expectancy of 30 years. These are well over 50. They are just dying of old age.

If I had the time, I'd clean 'em out; I don't. :>(

I know you're accumulating more and more projects daily, but when you gonna throw some paint at that bale trailer?
