I have a single action lift cylinder off a wagner loader that I can't get the shaft out .
It hang up at the end of the shaft when i try to take it out , is their something im not doing right .

If you mean the pin that attaches the cylinder to the loader, then what I think what you have is the result of somebody hammering on the end of the pin and 'mushrooming' it. You will have to file or grind the 'burr' off before trying to push it through the hole.

what held the end cap, (rod end) in the cylinder?
If a snap ring held it in-sometimes a piston, at
the end of the stroke hammers the snap ring and
causes it to mushroom out the top of the snap
ring groove, but in that case it"s hard to get
the end cap out.
If that"s causing the piston to stick, you may
have to push it down some and polish the top end
with a rotary grinder. If piston packing is sticking in a groove, you may have to pull it
apart. Commercial hydraulic shops have pull tables
to pull pistons and rods out.

Push the shaft all the way into the tube, remove the fitting from the tube that supplies the oil to the cylinder. Look into the hole and you may see a small wire ring in a groove on the shaft. With a pocket screwdriver roll the wire ring into the deeper groove in the end of the shaft and then try and remove the shaft from the tube. When you replace the dirt seal and o-rings, just reverse the procedure. Roll the wire ring out of the deep groove onto the shallow grove. If you go too far and it jumps off the end, just fish it out and try again.
