Is that fall seeded rye or spring. I need to find enpough to fall seed at least 40 acres this fall. Looks like some nice clean stuff.

Yes, its fall seeded. It was weed free. Nice thing about that fall rye it seems to kill off everything else until it is ripe and harvested.

Yup, rye is "allelopathic", which means it's toxic to any seed but it's own. Thats why is such a popular ground cover and green manure for gardeners.

Looks like its gonna be fun to get thru a 4400 combine. Did you get some rain this morning? Got 8/10 here, really needed it.
