Hesston PT10

I am looking to buy a 9' PT10. Is this a mistake?I have read some of the problems listed on this site and am concerned I am making a poor decision.

I recintly bought a 555 case , which is a PT-10 in case clothing, I pull it with a 50 HP gas tractor and am really satisfied with how it works. For the 350 I bought it for ,and a 100 dollar belt,I finally have a mower cond. at a reasonable price.I later found the drive belt on e-bay for about 1/2 price....oh well maybe I will buy a spare. If the machine seems in good condition, and well cared for , I would not be afraid of it. Any machine poorly cared for regardless of color can be a monster to the pocket book

Early model pt 10 which cut 8ft was not too good. Later model pt10 which cut 9 ft is excellent. Old model had round drive belt for blade hidden under back cover.

We've been using one for quite a few years.Pretty darn trouble-free.Would recommend one.

Much better than the 1090 they replaced it with.I'd say the PT-10 was Hesston's bread and butter.
