A good night baling

The last few days ni NW Wi. have been perfect haying days, my dad who does most of my raking and mowing didn't break anything, which is a miracle in itself, got home at 5:30 from work, fired up the old 720 JD and Gehl 1500 baler and started baling, by 7:30 had it all baled, 26 1200# bales, may not be much by modern standards but was a great night for me. Got home and momma was glad to see me and rewarded me handily. Doesn't get any better than that.

My dad helped me the same way. Enjoy it now because I wish he still here to mow and rake and even break things.

I am glad it was a productive night for ya, however I misread the thread title and am profoundly disappointed...its them old man eyes, thought there were 2 "Ls"

I have my Dad's old 1500 Gehl which I still use a little. It is actually the second 1500 he had as he wore the first one completely out custom baling. He run the tires off his 190 running all summer everywhere. It makes good bales for it's time but it was a poor machine to bale as many bales as my Dad would. It ate bearings like I eat carmel popcorn.
