Opinions on a JD Z-Trak?

I just bought a 2002 Grasshopper with the 72" deck and love it.

My buddy is looking at new JDs with the 54" or 60" decks. The price looks good. Are they built cheaply or just a good value? Likes/dislikes? Any advice is welcome!

Compare it to the price that you paid for your grasshopper. If it a lot cheaper, then that tells the story. No matter how you do the math, if it is cheaply priced........it is cheaply made, no questions about it. You cannot buy Champagne for the same price you pay for beer.

What model of Z Trak ?

The new 800 Series are having lots of problems.

Grasshoppers are good machines. 8)
