I have a Ford 2910 which has had some starting issues ever since I"ve owned it (2003). Originally, it had some wiring issues which I thought I corrected (some wires overheated and the insulation melted, so I replaced them). But lately it"s been giving me a problem starting if I try to restart it when it"s been running for a while and got really hot. It will just click as I turn the key and will only start after I"ve turned the key many times over. It never happens when the tractor has been sitting overnight. Then it starts right up. I also know that it"s an electrical issue because if I jump over the solenoid with a cable directly from the battery to the starter it"ll start right up.
Any thoughts? All answers are appreciated in advance. Thanks.
