2750 power steering cylinder

ive never done one before but i looked at the parts view of the cylinders and it looks like there is 2 different styles. one has pipe plugs on each side of the cyl the other style has a bolt on one side. the one with pipe plugs doesnt show any snap rings. the one with a bolt has a snap ring inside and it doesnt show where it goes. i would check to see if there is a snap ring on the ram, look through the pipe plug holes or take the fitting out for the hose and look for it on the ram. combine feederhouse lift cylinders have a snap ring around the ram. you have to take the hose fitting off the barrel and use a screwdriver to take it off and pull the ram out

What Mattd said about the combine cylinder is correct. It is a PIA but you have to work the snap ring off the rod by using a screwdriver thru the hose port. Thaking it off is the easy part, putting it back on thru that little hole is tough. BTDT Good luck.

He was right on. Has a snap ring on the end. Got it off and replaced the seal and wiper. Thought it would be a real bear to get back on but, wasn't that bad. The hard part was getting the pin out on the end. Took a while with the air tool to drive it up out.

Too late for this time around, but what I do is put a hydraulic jack under the steering arm pin and jack up. Drive down on the steering arm with a BFH.
