O/T What are 5 Bsa motorcycles worth?

Other than the fact that this is an old tractor forum. I'll tell you they are worth quite a bit if the right person is located. Maybe as much a 1500 to 2500 if complete. But finding the person is the issue. JimN

BSA has been long out of business. Got bought out by triumph, and then they went out just to be bought out again and made a come back. When running good there a good strong brake you leg bike and would run down the road at 100 plus and still get 50mpg. In good running shape $1500-3000 easy none running pretty much scrap price. Parts can be hard to find so it can take 2 or 3 to make one good running bike. Oh is the 500 a 1 or 2 cylinder?? If its a 1 cylinder it will throw you over the handle bars fast if you don't kick it just right BTDT

Look on EBAY to see what others are selling for. I had a BSA Bantam when I was in the Navy Stationed near Memphis Tenn. In 1964. Haven't seen one since. Stan

Yea, those were the good old days. It was one hot place, and there were the bugs, lots of bugs. What school did you go through? Stan

A BSA bantam here in OZ sold for $600 at clearing sale 2 years ago,I had one in the 1950's. In the shed the other day it dawned on me that my motor mower engine, on one of my old models, was exactly the same.
Your machines could be worth a dollar if you find a collector.

Sonovagun! I went through AT"A" school at NATTC, Memphis in 1954 and AQ"B" in 1960.

In "B" school, I was the only Marine in a class with about 18 sailors. Our class was legendary for the devastation we created on our way though school. We even created another student once, when we advanced to another phase with all new instructors.

The first day, when the instructor sent a seating chart around, by pre-arrangement one of the men in the middle of the room entered "W.T Hatch" on an empty desk. Now, everyone who's been to sea knows W.T. Hatch is stenciled on water tight hatches aboard ship. We kept the guy alive for a week. An instructor would ask if anyone knew where this man "Hatch" was and someone would answer that they had seen him at breakfast, and he said something about a dentist appointment, etc.

The hilarious part was, the instructors were all seasoned Navy men who should have automatically known what "W.T. Hatch" meant. It took them a week to figure it out. And added to our class's reputation.

I was a teeter-AT- and we had A-Fund-P school there at that time. Had to do my swimm qual in that biggg indoor pool. I was not the best swimmer then or now.f
