Farmall 140 Wont Start

Got a Farmall 140 started last fall, ran for a while then stoped. When tryed to restart it wouldnt turn over. Put a new switch on top of the starter, nothing, bought a new starter, nothing, turned motor over with the fan not locked up. any ideas.

Battery??? Cables??? Termianls clean????

Cleaned, even checked Battery, even tryed to jump start the battery,its a 6 volt.

try jumping 6 volts to starter post and tractor frame

By the way im sure a few little kids learned a new word today-nice job there. Lets try to keep it realitivly clean here-I've even toned myself down a notch of two for other people

sounds like the brushes in the starter are stuck

If you pull the starter out, does it spin freely? If you attach some jumper cables to the starter (while it's out) does it operate the way it should?

Didnt meen to affend anyone, it wouldnt take my regular password. But I think we have been ------ before.

All ideas soubd good, but this is a new starter, and the old one dose the same as the new, nothing. Im pretty sure its something small stoping the starter from working, but what.
