Going to Vegas

You guys will have to hold the fort without me for a few days. Taking the wife back to Las Vegas after 31 years. Wonder if it's changed any? Keep the sunny side up and the dirty side down. Later, Chris

I prefer Reno, myself. Underneath it all, Reno is still a laid back cow town.

Don't know what Las Vegas was like 31 years ago. But in Aug 2003 I spent two weeks there and had last been there in Sep 1995. It Had Changed Alot. Last time there was in Oct 2004 and unless the boss lady decides she wants to go, my last time there will probably be just that.

I was there in 2006. Vegas is highly modernized, with more special effects than ever.

North las vegas has gotten horrible. Anything north of the stratosphere is crap. The good ol circus circus smelled like sewage, and nudie magazines were littering the street like crazy.

South las vegas blvd has the south coast hotel and casino, which is the nicest hotel i've ever stayed in. I'd highly recommend that hotel to stay in... you should try it.

Been in both places the last few years.I enjoyed both places, especially the cheap meals but have no desire to go back. Some of my buddies go every year.
