Too late now for the winter wheat crop..getting to late without rain for cow feed crop.

Add to that some wind and 5-10% humidity and any moisture in the soil or plants disappears in a hurry...

1800 acres of pasture land turned black in less than 6 hours last night out east of you...my guess would be a cigarette tossed out of a car on I76...yep, it's dry...
 
Yea, the fire dept. fellows are cleaning up the trucks here in town this morning. they had a rough afternoon and night.
 
Just the opposite back east. Thirty % chance of thunder storms/showers. That means it will rain only on the .02% of the acreage that is in hay that is down plus 28% else where.
