Lanse I remember you talking about a sickle mower awhile back and was wondering if you had picked it up or not. Have a goodun!!! And have fun with your Allis"s

Not here yet. I worked that off someone near here, a livestock and implement dealer. One of the other places i work for is not pleased with him as he diddnt get the solid trailer he payed for, the hitch broke on the way home. He (the new owner) would have been screwed if it came loose and killed somebody, so thank god it diddnt. I myself am starting to loose patience with the guy, just the way he does buissness (the dozen cans of fixaflat and starter fluid in the barn explain why), and i've seen the look on peoples faces when they see the crap he tries to sell, but he somehow stays in buissness. Im starting to wonder if i'll ever get the thing. The guy is in his late 70s, but i am keeping track and have worked over $75 for a $50 machine, but delivery is included. I think he might try something with it as his tractor with the loader has been "broken" since i worked the thing off him. If im right, it "broke" the day before i worked it off. This is the guy who has me do slop jobs on trailers so he can sell them for more. Last time i was there there was a trailer with a slop job on it he just bought and he wasnt too happy with it. Was hard not to laugh, LOL. Rant over.

I am thinking about paying a hauler $50 or so to pick up the mower and the WC (about 6 miles away) in one swoop for me. The mower so i can end my agony and get the damn thing, and the WC to save the nice guy who gave it to me the trouble of getting it out here. Im gonna see how it turns out, i may have to spend that money on this C instead

One of the first rules of buying old junk. Always pick up anything you buy or work for ASAP, no matter whether you do it yourself or have someone else do it. Another good rule is to have a written contract or bill of sale, just in case the odd person tries to pull a quick one on you. If I were you I would be heading out to pick up your mower at the first possible opportunity.
