Prayers needed

Hey guys, my wife's father was taken to the VA hospital last week severly jaundiced. They did a few tests and a scan and found a tumor in his pancreas. They in turn sent him to the Baptist Medical in Winston the next morning to have a stint put in to get rid of the jaundice and to have a biopsy done. They just got back the results this afternoon and said that the mass is cancer. From what I understand from the wife he took the call and so far hasn't told anyone exactly what they said concerning wether it's going to be treatable or removable but based on what has been said, unfortunately we're expecting the worst. So I know when it's our time to go we're gone, prayers or not, but if ya'll would please keep him and the family in your prayers. I know no matter what happens it's going to be hard for everyone involved.

Lost my Dad 22 years ago to pancreatic cancer. Back then they gave 1 to 5 years survival, he made it a little over a year. I hope and pray survival rate has improved. Regardless of the outcome Gods Blessings to you and your family.

Praying for your wifes father. Friend of mine 89 years old was in VA hospital year ago for leukemia, they said. He went home, no meds, no treatment, said leukemia is gone. Last month he made a trip to Germany, celebrated veteran of WW2. God can do it if anyone can do anything at all. This man watches 700 club, prays for any and everything, people, cars, furnaces, and it usually happens.

Pray it's quick and relatively painless. I watched a friend's mother die like that two years ago. Her time was measured in weeks although some last for months/year. Make the best of the time he's got left... it's a tough way to go.

Wayne, I'm sure sorry to hear that and hope for the best. Folks get sick with no rhyme or reason, and sometimes it works out and sometimes not. Can't explain it, but hope for the best for all involved, especially your father-in-law. The good Lord works in mysterious ways and knows what he's up to and why. My prayers Wayne.

Wayne, sad to hear of your FIL's illness. I will keep him and your family in my prayers. A lot more folks are beating cancer these days..
